Our eDiet Site Review

Information on diets is everywhere - both about healthy diets and the more questionable ones. With this information overload coming at us from all directions, how to you determine which diet will work well for you?

Many of us have been on one diet after another, over and over, throughout the years and want to find the one diet that really suits us - not another come on or fad, but an eating program we will more likely stick with for life.

Each of us is unique and the diet plan that works well for me, may not really suit you. The best thing to do is to evaluate your own lifestyle and body type and determine from that which type of eating plan will give you the best opportunity to reach your goal weight and stay there. This is where eDiets.com comes in.

How does eDiets.com work?

The eDiet approach is that one diet plan does not fit us all. The site offers a wide variety of healthy eating options. They also offer a free questionnaire on lifestyle, eating habits and body type. Based on the analysis of your answers, what should be the best healthy diet options specifically for you are recommended. You can take their recommendation or opt for another eating plan of your choice.

The first thing I did was take the questionnaire. The results gave me a choice of a few eating plans that they consider right for me. I am going to try the Mediterranean Diet because I think that one will fit my eating habits and personality best.

Pros and Cons of

What I like about eDiets.com

I love all of the options available. There are a wide variety of eating plans available here and if one doesn't suit you, just switch to another.

This site not only provides information on a wide variety of diets and eating programs, so you can find the one that suits you best, they also create a wonderful support network, which makes it so much easier to stay on target until you reach your goals.

Limitations

The only real drawback that I can see with the eDiets.com setup is the same with all online healthy eating sites. The online support is wonderful, but some people just need to see someone "in person" to be able to stick with an eating plan and lose weight over time. If you are one of those people, you may be best sticking to a Weight Watchers type system where you can go to local meetings each week.
