Healthy Easy Weight Loss Plan

by Lena
(Winnipeg)

My mom's friend introduced us to this healthy eating plan. And she went from 220 lbs to 150 in less than a year! My mom lost 25 lbs in 3.5 months on this. I myself lost 9 lbs for my grad and went from 153-144 lbs in less than a month. All of us have kept the weight off.

It's quite brilliant. You are allowed to eat every 2.5 - 3 hours, but in portions which are no more than 250 grams(about 1 cup). This = about 1 banana and half an apple, a cup of rice, 250 grams of cottage cheese... Whatever you feel like.
There is 1 little catch though. You aren't allowed to eat anything made with white flour, like pasta, white bread, obviously no baked goods or junk food. However, i didn't find this to be a problem - i like whole grains better anyway.

You are allowed to eat natural sweets like a tablespoon of honey a day, or a serving of dried fruit. Also you are supposed to drink 1/2 cup to 1 cup of water half an hour before each meal to make sure you keep hydrated and don't lose water weight.

The benefits? 1)You are never hungry. When at school/work simply stock up on healthy snacks and you are set!
2) You DO NOT gain the weight back after you stop dieting
3)Exersize is favorable and will significantly speed up results, but you will still lose at least 2-3 lbs per week even without it!
4) Your stomach decreases in size because of the small portions and after about a week you can feel yourself being very full after every snack/meal.

A helpful tip - if you go on any diet, take vitamin supplements. Sometimes we feel hungry only because our body craves certain vitamins and minerals. Weirdly enough, Vitamin D has been shown to help aid in weight loss! And 85% of North American people have a Vit D deficiency...

Anyways. I am back on this eating plan because i want to lose another 20 pounds to reach my target weight of 125. My time frame for it is about 3 months!
