How to Build a Website.. Well at least how I built mine.
Hi I'm Karen Ciancio, and CookingNook.com is not only my website, it's my pride and joy. Okay - along with my cat, Molly. I love pouring through cookbooks of all kinds. I've always wanted to be one of those people with a huge cookbook library (and I now am actually). Cookbooks take me to wonderful places and get my creative juices flowing. Do I always follow those wonderful, sometimes complicated looking, recipes? No. I tend towards more down home cooking in my own kitchen, with a nod to some healthy eating. Like most people these days, I have a busy schedule (why are we all so busy?), so I always look for recipes that taste delicious but don't keep me in the kitchen all day. Sometimes I just make up my own. The ones that work you will hear about on this site, the others - well, let's just say some things are better left alone. :) I have wanted to share my passion for a long time; to show people that cooking doesn't have to be complicated or difficult to taste wonderful and that a few little variations in a recipe can create something completely different and delicious. I guess I have a desire to help other people unleash their creative spirit, just like pouring through cookbooks unleashes mine. The ability to share things through the internet, like our favorite recipes, has always excited me. I have toyed with the idea of building a website for a long time. A few problems presented themselves though:
So I was pretty frustrated, feeling that there had to be a way to build a website without spending thousands of dollars and waiting for some expert each time you want something done. My friend Helen, who had her own website dream, found a product called Site Build It. I have to say I was far from sold at first. I had seen a lot of people "pushing" products on the internet, most of them useless. But I did know of Ken Evoy, the developer of SBI, and respected him and his honesty. So I decided, hesitantly, to try it. I have never looked back! My "little" site, CookingNook.com, is now one of the top 1% of websites in the world and provides me with an income that grows each month. And until SBI I had no idea how to build a website, let alone a successful one. I tell you this because you may have a passion of your own. If you do have knowledge or experience that you would like to share with others, I can't recommend SBI highly enough. You can go to the SBI site here to check it out. Or you can take the quick tour here. If you are a work at home mom and want to create a part-time income from home, you will want to read this. Here's a great way to learn more about Site Build It - from someone who started at 0 and build an income that gave him freedom - Elad. Just click to start the video. If you are interested in creating your own website and have questions after reading about SBI, please feel free to contact me. I would be more than happy to help answer your questions if I can. Best of luck in your endeavors,
