I Love Meatballs

I Love Meatballs! by Rick Rodgers, is a wonderful little cookbook.

It is actually a new favorite of mine.

I get sent quite a few cookbooks for review, and, although I like most of them, I don't keep them all.

Friends, family and the local library reap some of the benefits.

But every so often I find a real keeper and I Love Meatballs! is definitely one of them.

It's a small cookbook, just 50 recipes, but they are all so tempting you will find you turn to it over and over again.

I look through this book and actually think I will make most of the recipes in it. Every single recipe looks like it will be delicious.

The recipes are inspired by a variety of ethnic cuisines including Italian, Thai, Chinese, Greek, Vietnamese, Swedish, Moroccan, and Indian.

They are also made from a full range of meats including beef and veal, pork, lamb, poultry, and even seafood.

There are recipes in this little gem of a cookbook for appetizers, soups, sandwiches and main dishes, everything except dessert!

These recipes are perfect for easy everyday meals, entertaining guests or hosting a party. Rick also provides lots of tips, from how to choose the right meat for your recipe, to great freezing tips for meatballs, both with or without sauce.

If you have read many of my cookbook reviews you know I love photos of the recipes. Now I know it is expensive to provide them, so most cookbooks don't have too many images, but I have to say this cookbook is full of them. Over half the recipes have wonderful pictures of the finished product. It gives you a great reference point, especially for new cooks, to see what the finished product should look like according to the recipe developer.

This cookbook is perfect for someone who wants something a little different but not difficult.

The fact that all the recipes are made of ground meat keeps the price down too, so these recipes are good for entertaining on a budget. It would make a great gift.

A Little Bit About the Author:

Rick Rodgers is a renowned cooking instructor and radio and television guest chef who has written dozens of books on virtually every cooking subject, including his best-selling 101 series, and the IACP Cookbook Award nominees Kaffeehaus and The Carefree Cook. Rodgers has also written more than ten titles for a Williams-Sonoma series, as well as Tips Cooks Love by Sur La Table, so he obviously knows his way around a kitchen.

5 stars Add this cookbook to Rick's success stories. It is a little gem and I highly recommend it.
