My Weight Loss Story

by Kailie George
(Canada)

Before i started counting my calories I was always so angry with myself because of how much i weighed. I would look at myself in the mirror and just be disgusted.

My daughter always gave me support and she offered to walk and work out with me but after work ( 7:30 am - 4:30 pm ) and sometimes my second job ( 5:00 - 7:30 every monday and wednesday ) I was just exhausted. I never had the energy to work out after these work days.

I am a single mother with two children. I have to work 2 jobs to pay the bills and get food. I always semeed like i was running to the supermarket to buy food. I got fed up.

I told myself on tuesday, thursday, and fridays I would work out every day for 45 minutes - 1 hour. then I still had my weekend to relax. Sometimes after work i just felt like doing nothing but my daughter gave me support and didnt take no for an answer. She told me if I wanted to loose the weight I had to stop always putting it off and just do it.

After a couple of weeks I started to feel different. I didn't loose that much weight but I still lost some. and I changed my food habits too. After a month I had lost 15 pounds. and let me tell you I do not lose weight easily. I retain all my salts and water so it is like impossible to loose weight quickly.

After that month I started to work out more than 3 times a week. I would work out on weekends and take more walks around the neightbourhood. By the end of the 3 month, I had lost 37 pounds. My goal is 50. I have 2 more months to go and I should be at my goal.

All you need is a little support and just DO IT!!! If you make the time and just commit to it you will change your life. once you do it on a regular basis it will be part of your regular schedule. Believe in yourself because you can! thank you for reading my story.
