Poaching salmon may sound difficult or gourmet, but this poached salmon recipe is so easy to make and so delicious you will want to make it over and over. I have used salmon fillets here, but it works equally well with salmon steaks. Just watch your poaching time. Steaks can be thicker than fillets and may require an adjustment to the cooking time. Poached Salmon4 to 6 - 6oz salmon fillets, skinless Add the onion, carrots and lemon slices to a pot of boiling water. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Gently add the fillets. Cook fillets for 7 or 8 minutes. Serve. Another quick and easy recipe for your files!
