Watergate Salad

I know there is an interesting (and probably funny) story behind this Watergate Salad recipe, but I don't know what it is.

All I know is that this it's delicious!

The name says "salad" but it is a wonderful and easy dessert, sweet with pineapple, coconut and raisins.

It is great as part of a buffet, as a take along to any pot luck or an easy mid-week dessert for the family.

It's always appreciated and it always disappears.
