Sugar has 16 calories a teaspoon. Since we have to eat 3 times a day, or supposed to sometimes we opt for different tastes, sugar is one of them. There are so many more things that are "unhealthy". I would much rather have a teaspoon of pure cane sugar than any box of anything on the grocers shelves where it is filled with chemicals and such that I can't even pronounce. I would opt for the sugar, savor the taste, walk up and down stairs 2 times to work it off.
