Fresh Bouquet Garni

There are a number of French recipes for bouquet garni. I have two recipes for you here, one with fresh herbs and one with dried.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 sprigs thyme
  • 4 sprigs parsley, large , including stalks
  • 1/2 stalk celery, with leaves
  • a few black peppercorns

Instructions
 

  • Put the herbs in a piece of cheesecloth and tie with kitchen string. Add them to the pot and remove the tasty little package before serving the food.
