This easy apple bread is a delicious quick bread recipe. In the fall, when apples may be plentiful and reasonable in your area, make several loaves and put them in the freezer for later.
2 to 3McIntosh apples, peeled and chopped (or other cooking apples)
2eggs, beaten lightly
1/4cupmilk
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar and allspice. Mix them all together well. Cut butter into pieces and blend into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in the apples. Add the eggs and milk and stir until it is all combined.
Pour the batter into a in greased 9"x5" inch loaf pan and bake for 60 to 70 minutes.
