Butterscotch Brownies
These butterscotch brownies will hit the spot for just about anyone with a sweet tooth. They are a mix of yummy blondies with sweet butterscotch pieces and crunchy pecans. Really good!
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup butter, or margarine, softened
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 6 ounces butterscotch chips
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cream the butter and add the brown sugar, beating well. Add the eggs and vanilla to the mixture, beating well. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, stirring well. Pour the batter into a greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan.
- Sprinkle with the morsels and pecans. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
- Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
