I love this herbed green beans recipe. Beans take on other flavors really well, which makes them versatile enough to serve with all kinds of different foods.
1tablespoonoregano, fresh, or other herbs, chopped
salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
Trim the beans and add them to a pot of water. Bring it to a boil and cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until they are tender crisp, not super soft.
In a skillet, melt the butter at medium low heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic. Cook the vegetables over medium low heat, stirring occasionally, until the onion is tender.
Stir in the beans, oregano, salt and pepper to taste. Cook it all together until it is heated through.
