Cook butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup together until the sugar is dissolved. Pour the mixture into a 13 by 9 in. pan. Layer the bread cubes on top of the syrup in the pan.
Mix together the eggs, milk, vanilla, and nutmeg and pour the mixture over the bread. Cover the baking dish and refrigerate it overnight. Make sure all of the bread cubes get covered with the milk mixture.
In the morning uncover the casserole and preheat the oven to 350ºF. Bake it for 45 minutes.
