Ham Glazes

These delicious ham glaze recipes include brown sugar ham glazes and a baked ham maple glaze. Country glazed ham is so delicious and with the variety of glazes you have here you can vary the flavor often.

Prepare the glaze, then brush your favorite glaze all over the top and sides of the ham before baking. Use whatever kind of mustard you prefer, regular, hot and spicy, or Dijon (most of these recipes prefer Dijon).

Try a few and see which you and your family prefer.

Did You Know?...

Most ham glazes use mustard since mustard and ham seem to belong together. Because ham tastes wonderful with something sweet, a sweet taste is usually added to. It can be anything from sugar to syrup to jams and jellies.

I think you will enjoy each of these ham glazes. For each one, mix all of the ingredients together. Score the ham with a knife about 1/2 inch deep at an angle, with lines about 1" apart. Then score in the opposite direction, making a diamond pattern. You can stud each section with a whole clove if you want. It adds an interesting flavor and looks pretty.
