This delicious blueberry sauce recipe has just a touch of cinnamon.
The cinnamon really rounds out the flavor and adds just a hint of mysterious taste.
You can also leave it out if you are not a fan of the flavor.
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Blend all the ingredients in a saucepan. Bring them to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Great served warm over ice cream.
- If you think you would prefer a plainer sauce, simply omit the cinnamon. The cinnamon does add a nice flavor though so try it this way at least once.
