Originally posted to the site by Deseree R. of Texas, this recipe she calls mushroom surprise is her own creation.
Deseree says this about her mushroom surprise: “So this recipe is something I just threw together. I found it best when it’s served with pasta noodles, but whatever suits your fancy.”
- 2 mushrooms, chopped
- 2 sticks of celery, chopped
- 1/4 tomato, diced
- 2 teaspoons of olive oil
- Sprinkle of rosemary and celery salt
Okay, so once you have everything you need; put the pan on the stove and turn it to medium. When you think it's warm enough put all of your chopped/diced goods in the pan. As you mix it around, pour in the olive oil and continue mixing.
After a few seconds put in your celery salt and rosemary. Usually, it will take 2 to 3 minutes. Then... TADA! Mushroom surprise 🙂
Great served over egg noodles or your favorite pasta shape. You can also serve it over white or brown rice or a different grain like healthy quinoa.
This lovely mushroom recipe suits so many special diets, from low carb, to diabetic recipes, to gluten free recipes and even Paleo recipes.
