A healthy diet - the phrase sounds so "good for you", but does it sometimes make you think of boring tasteless food you probably wouldn't want to eat?

Eating a balanced diet and not starving your body with super low calorie diets or those depriving you of healthy foods will allow your body to lose weight at a rate that is appropriate for you, while maintaining optimum health.
